With a text messaging capable phone, customers can send messages to other Jump customers (including those in different Jump service areas) by simply using the 10-digit mobile number of the recipient. In addition, customers can send messages to most other wireless users in the United States and Canada by simply using the 10-digit mobile number of the recipient. How do I send a Text Message from my phone? Specific instructions on how to send a text message for your phone model are in your phone’s user manual. In general, you select the messaging option from your phone’s menu, enter in the 10-digit mobile number of the recipient, type in the text message, and then send.
How can I tell if I have received a Text Message? Many phones display an envelope icon, but different phones notify users that they have received a text message in different ways. Check the user’s manual for your particular phone model to determine how that phone notifies you when you have received a text message and how to retrieve that message.
Who can send messages from the Jumpmobile.com web site? Anyone visiting the Jump web site can send a text message to any Jump subscriber, as long as they have the subscriber’s phone number. The sender does not need to be a Jump customer to send the text message.
Can I send/receive emails from my Jump Mobile handset? No. Jump does not offer this feature at this time.
