Warranty & Repair
Who you should call.
You can count on your Jump™ Mobile phone for call after call, text after text. But if something should go wrong, here’s what you should do.
UTStarcom CDM7025J
If you purchased the Jump Mobile UTStarcom CDM7025J in the Jump Bubblepack from a retailer and it is broken and falls outside of the dealers returns and exchange program as defined by the dealer or merchant, you should:
- Call UTStarcom directly at 1-800-229-1235.
- Tell the UTStarcom Customer Service Representative (CSR) that you have a Jump Mobile CDM7025J handset.
- Tell the UTStarcom CSR what is wrong with your phone and what happened to cause it to stop working.
- The UTStarcom CSR will work with you to determine whether or not your phone may be covered under warranty*.
- If the UTStarcom CSR believes your Jump Mobile phone may be covered under their warranty, they will provide you instructions on how to send your phone in for repair or replacement with the same or similar model.
- UTStarcom will conduct a full warranty inspection on the phone upon arrival.
- If the phone is covered under warranty, it will be repaired or replaced with the same or similar model at UTStarcoms sole discretion. This process will take approximately two weeks.
- You will be given $15 of funds as a courtesy for the inconvenience and to compensate for the minutes that have expired.
- If the phone is found to be out-of-warranty, UTStarcom will contact you to discuss repair options and costs.**
- If the phone is found to be un-repairable (e.g. internal damage) and out of warranty, it will be returned to you via mail in the condition in which you sent the phone to UTStarcom.
*The over-the-phone warranty qualification process conducted by the UTStarcom CSR will not determine if your phone is actually covered by the warranty. It is performed to help you determine if the phone could possibly be covered and whether or not it should be mailed to UTStarcom for the actual warranty and repair inspection process.
**It is possible the over-the-phone inspection process will result in authorization for your phone to be returned to UTStarcom. However, it is possible that after inspection by UTStarcom, that the phone may not qualify for warranty service. In this case, if the phone cannot be repaired, it will be returned to you via mail in the same condition in which you sent the phone to UTStarcom. If the phone can be repaired though out-of-warranty at a cost to you, UTStarcom will contact you. You can have UTStarcom perform the repair, have the phone returned to you, or you may purchase another unit for use with your Jump Mobile service.
